My Jewlery

I’m not much of a jewelry person. I have a few necklaces and earrings but I wear them only on special occasions. So in the months of April and October I wear a turtle necklace and ring. These are symbols of my mother. She was murdered in April and her birthday is October. So I wear them until her death date April 14 and her birthday Oct 12. It’s not a idolized piece but more of me remembering her likes. It more of remembrance than idol. I don’t want it to get misunderstood because idols are definitely a logo in the Christian faith. I don’t wear a cross or have a Bible verse tatted on me because I don’t need them to show I am a Christian. I know many people who have them it’s just not my style. I use to have a cross purity ring that I’d wear but I’ve grown so much in my faith that I don’t need any symbol to prove I am what I am…. What’s your thoughts on the topic?

  1. Hey good to see you’re back. You’re right we don’t symbols to show our faith but it’s okay too to wear treasured pieces as long as you know it’s just that.

  2. I’m so sorry about your mom! What a horrible thing to happen! Wearing jewelry in honor of your mom is perfectly acceptable. There shouldn’t be any question about it.
